Raising more than $2,000 in proceeds from April Collectors Challenge to benefit ACA International Education Foundation.
May 15, 2014 - During Collectors Challenge month in April, employees of North American Credit Services in Chattanooga, found many creative ways to raise $2,226 in support of consumer financial literacy programs. "Our employees know better than anyone the challenge consumers face in managing their personal finances," shared Dallas S. Bunton, Sr, IFCCE, MCE; Chairman and CEO of NACS and Medical Services of Chattanooga. "Helping the people we contact learn the skills they need to use credit wisely and regain control of their finances, gives us pride in the important work we do."
Employees contributed $5 each to be judges in the 'People's Choice Chili Cook-Off Charity Challenge' and sample15 different entrée submissions, followed by an opportunity to vote for their favorite chili. Company employees also had the opportunity to purchase 'Picnic at the Pavilion' lunch tickets for festivities at the end of the month concurrent with the chili cook-off and prize drawings. Also this year, dressing casual on 'jeans days,' in exchange for donations during April's Collectors Challenge, was an added treat for the employees at NACS.
Money raised from the month-long Collectors Challenge events allows the ACA International Education Foundation to expand and increase financial literacy initiatives through research, education, job training, and public advocacy www.acainternational.org/about-foundation.
